The bathroom was a pleasant surprise with a refreshing shower. It made me feel like I was standing under a tropical waterfall, washing all my worries away. As someone who loves nature, this bathroom was a little piece of paradise.
Personally, I found the bathroom a bit cramped, but some may still enjoy its cozy charm.

The value for money at Carlton Cottage was excellent, and the room was cozy and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for exploring the coast and surrounding areas, and the staff were friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast menu could have been improved with a wider selection of options.

the cottage was absolutely fantastic. it was spotlessly clean, nicely decorated, and had a stunning view from the garden. we stayed for 3 nights but would have happily stayed longer. the location was great for exploring the moors and beyond. the little touches like throws, bowls for the dog, toiletries, and a bottle of fizz were much appreciated. the co-op was conveniently located across the street and there was a pub just a few doors down. overall, it was a wonderful holiday.
Kitchen could use a larger pan and knife selection.

The cottage was lovely with plenty of space, perfect for four people and 1 dog. Nice and cosy with lots to do in the village. Castleton is a great location, with a small supermarket, a great pub that serves food, and a lovely cafe. The Deli 21 near the cottage was a highlight, offering delicious packed lunches for our walks. Plenty of walking routes available from the cottage. Excellent location for exploring all parts of North Yorkshire. The cottage was well-appointed, with a very cosy lounge and comfortable bedrooms. We slept well during our stay. The village pub and a local Co-op were conveniently located just a short walk away. Parking was easy to find close to the cottage. We would happily return and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Felt like a fairy-tale experience, where nothing was too much trouble.
